Bookish Snob Tag

Hello again bibliophiles! So, it’s been a couple of days and I’m really bored, so I thought I would jump in on a tag because I don’t know what else to do. Before we start, credit to The Storybook Sisters, I found this tag on their blog. I love their blog, I highly recommend checking it out for the few people seeing this who don’t already know about them, and click here to read their post.

So, basically what this tag is is a bunch of questions where I just give my opinions on bookish things. That’s a really bad description, but whatever my brain is only half functioning right now so there isn’t much of a better description I can give. Let’s just get into it.

ADAPTATION SNOB: Do you always read the book before watching the film/ TV show?

I wish. If I actually has the self control to do that, that would be amazing. But I don’t. Which is sad. I usually end up liking the one that I read/watch first because of all the differences, which is part of the reason I always try to read the book first, but anyway.

FORMAT SNOB: You can only choose 1 format in which to read books for the rest of your life. Which one do you choose: physical books, ebooks, or audiobooks?

If I had to choose which one and if I chose I could read all the books in that format that I wanted without having to wait for it or pay for it and I could get it without any problems, I would definitely choose paperback, because it’s just… different. There’s something about it. But, if I had all of the normal problems of getting the book, (like paying for it, waiting for it, etcetera) I think I would choose ebook just because it’s easy.

SHIP SNOB: Would you date or marry a non-reader?

Hmm. Yeah, but I would also probably try to force them into reading. If they refused, oh well I can read on my own.

GENRE SNOB: You have to ditch one genre – never to be read again for the rest of your life. Which one do you ditch?

Easily non-fiction. Real life is boring and if you’re going to read, why read about reality? Fictional people and places are more fun.

UBER GENRE SNOB: You can only choose to read from one genre for the rest of your life. Which genre do you choose?

Fantasy! Although, that would mean I would have to give up sci-fi and that would make me sad. Oh well, I think there’s better fantasy out there than sci-fi. Or maybe my favorite book ever was going to be sci-fi. Oh well, I already answered the question.

COMMUNITY SNOB: Which genre do you think receives the most snobbery from the bookish community?

Hmm. I guess it’s probably children’s and middle grade. The people who are a part of the bookish community tend to be older, and reading things that are under your age range isn’t fun, I know that from much experience, and so very few people in the bookish community like children’s very much. There are definitely people out there who love that genre, but it’s just the genre that is not very well liked.

So I’m not even sure if I should be jumping into a tag like this, anybody who knows make sure to tell me, but I guess I’ll tag a couple of people anyways…

    1. Oh no! I’m so sorry. I wouldn’t have done it, but I know you can do them in the booktube community and honestly, that’s what I’m basing everything off of right now. Again, sorry and I won’t do that again!

  1. Great post! (Hehe, my brain is dead most of the time, so I get it. XD)

Thanks for tagging me, by the way! I’ve never done a book tag before, but hopefully I’ll be able to do it right… XD 0_o

    1. Of course! You guys were the only bloggers I knew very well who didn’t get tagged in it (besides myself of course haha) I’m sure you’ll do fine! You also don’t have to do it if you don’t want to
